While we are continuing to offer remote student services as well, starting August 2, most of our offices are now open in-person, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday. Student services are operating remotely on Fridays, for the time being. Visit the department page for contact information and hours of operation.

If You Need Food
- We have verified several area food banks to still be open. You might want to try others on the list that we weren’t able to reach. They might be open, as well.
- There are online tools that you can use to search for other food pantries in your area.
- You should definitely also apply for CalFresh. You can also call them at 1.855.309.3663
- Or, call 2-1-1 for help connecting to other resources.
If You Don’t Have A Safe Place to Live
- Call 211, text HOPE to 20121 or visit a walk-in care center.
- If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, call 1.800.799.7233 to connect with the National Domestic Violence Hotline, or test LOVEIS to 22522 to text a trained counselor.
If You Need to See a Doctor
- If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your health care provider. You can usually find their contact information on the back of your insurance card. If you do not have a provider, call the Contra Costa Health Service Advice Nurse at 1.877.661.6230 and select option one.
- To sign up for health insurance, visit Help on Demand at Covered California.
- If it is a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1.

Drop-in By Zoom
- More flexible grading and withdrawal options are available to students who have been impacted by the switch to remote learning. Please speak with a counselor, admissions and records and financial aid to more fully understand the ramifications before you make a decision.

- Transcripts will still be available through Credentials, through the InSite Portal. Rush option will still be available, but unfortunately, express will not.

HSI-STEM Center
- The STEM Center will continue to offer Success Coach appointments for STEM students via Zoom (online video conferencing software) to help students with remote and or online course work expectations and resources.

International Students
- The Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have rescinded the July 6 SEVP Guidance, which would have prohibited international students residing in the U.S. from taking online-only courses.
- We are still planning for a combination of fully online and hybrid (partially online and partially on campus) courses for Fall 2020.
- Current international students must continue to maintain a full course of study (12 units) throughout the fall semester, even if they are outside of the U.S.
- Future international students admitted for Fall 2020 may either enroll in online classes from abroad during their first semester or defer enrollment to the Spring 2021 semester.
- International students transferring from U.S. institutions may enroll in online classes while continuing to live in the U.S.
