Promise programs help make earning a degree or certificate affordable by covering the costs of course fees and providing extra support to get you to and through college.

All programs require the completion of a Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADA).

California College Promise Grant

The California College Promise Grant (formerly known as the Board of Governors Fee Waiver) is available for eligible students at California community colleges, and will waive your per unit enrollment fee at any community college throughout the state. Learn more.

Contra Costa Community College District’s FT3 Promise

For students who do not meet the requirements for the California College Promise Grant, the Contra Costa Community College District offers fee reimbursement for first-time, full-time students. Learn more.

Richmond Promise

Richmond Promise offers eligible West County high school graduates who reside in Richmond with a scholarship of up to $1,500 per year, with the possibility of renewal for up to 4 years. Learn more.
