Middle College High School at Contra Costa College is an Early College High School program. Our mission is to provide, in collaboration with West Contra Costa Unified School District, a nurturing and academically challenging environment for students at risk of not meeting their potential in a traditional high school environment. We are designed to give students with high potential a special opportunity to gain a range of skills that will provide motivation and support for their lifelong personal, academic, and social growth. Students meet many of their high school requirements through rigorous college level courses. Our staff is dedicated to continually work to maintain and enhance the school as a challenging, stimulating, caring, and supportive place with high expectations for students who are college bound.
Middle College students earn a high school diploma while working towards the completion of an Associate Degree or 60 transferable credits in four to five years.
