Important Dates for EOPS Students
August 9 | EOPS counseling appointments are open to continuing STUDENTS. Go to the EOPS office, website or call the number on the back to schedule your EOPS appointments |
August 23 | First day of instruction. |
August 28-29 | Saturday/Sunday courses begin (if your class is a late start weekend course, check the schedule and confirm dates. – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. |
September 2 | Competitive CAL Grant priority deadline-FAFSA applicants who did not file by March 2 can file by this date. See financial aid or check out: https://www.csac.ca.gov/cal-grants instruction |
September 3 | Last day to drop full-term classes with eligibility for fee refund. |
September 3 | Last day to add a full-term course. |
September 3 | Last day to withdraw from a full-term course without a “W” appearing on transcript in person. |
September 4-5 | NO Saturday/Sunday courses due to Labor Day Holiday . |
September 6 | Last day to withdraw from a full-term course without a “W” appearing on transcript online. |
September 6 | Holiday — Labor Day |
September 7 | Census for full-term courses |
September 20 | EOPS-Academic Progress Report information will be emailed to your Insite portal email. You can also get the information from the EOPS web page. Start setting up your online appts. with your instructors! |
September 23 | Last day to choose Pass/No Pass (P/NP) grading option for full-term courses. |
September 23 | EOPS –Highly recommended – Last day to complete your first EOPS Contact for new and continuing students. EOPS Counseling Appts. must be 15 business days apart. |
September 23 | EOPS -The last day you can use your book grant or get reimbursed for your books. Deadline is when the bookstore closes, so make sure you know the bookstore hours! |
September 23 | EOPS -The last day to get your parking permit and bus pass – Go to your email for the notification and/or the EOPS web page for your parking permit and bus pass. |
September 24 | Holiday — Native American Day |
October 1 | FAFSA and CA Dream act applications open. They are due March 2. However, to increase your chances of getting the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG grant-up to $4,000 a year), submit your FAFSA/Dream act now or as early as possible. October 15 | Last day to petition to graduate for Fall 2021 term |
October 15 | EOPS-Academic Progress Report (APR) is due at 11:59 PM to our office, via email at eops@contracosta.edu or to our EOPS APR Email Dropbox. You will receive more detailed instructions based on email sent on September 20th. |
October 26-November 13 | EOPS Academic Progress Report Intervention Weeks If your APR indicates that you are not passing a class and/or there are comments indicating that you are experiencing academic challenges, your EOPS Counselor will be reaching out to you during this time. |

November 1 | CCC scholarship applications open. Go to https://www.contracosta.edu/admissions/pay-for-college/scholarships/ |
November 1 | Fall 2021 Financial Aid Appeals must be submitted with all required documentation and attachments to be considered for reinstatement of financial aid. https://www.contracosta.edu/admissions/pay-for-college/satisfactory-academic-progress-sap-policy/ |
November 1-30 | Appeal filing period for continuing and returning students with over 100-degree applicable units or on 2nd semester alert or dismissal for spring registration. |

November 12 | Last day to add or adjust a variable unit course. |
November 15-16 | EOPS-Priority registration for spring classes! Check Webadvisor to see when your time opens. Make sure to register no later than midnight on the 2nd of these two days. |
November 25-26 | Thanksgiving Holiday |

losing your EOPS book voucher and/or avoid EOPS ALERT status.
Must complete 12 units my first semester in EOPS and 9 units every semester thereafter unless I received a D.S.P.S. unit waiver. | |
