• Go to and click on the orange APPLY button in the upper right-hand corner,
    this will lead you to a new page where you will need to scroll down to Step 1 and click on the apply now button.
  • This takes you to the Open California Community College portal where you will either: 
    1. New Students- Create a new account
    2. Returning Student– Sign in to your account BUT if you forget your account you need to click on FORGOT USERNAME and this will give you your username and an option to reset your password. If you are having issues please call OpenCCC.
  • Make sure to complete a Fall 2022 Application and once you complete this take a picture of the confirmation page at the end and within 24 hours you should receive an email with your Insite login (student portal) and student Id number. If you do not receive your this please check your SPAM folder if not contact the Admissions and Records Office for further help.


  • Insite is your student portal where you can register for classes, pay for classes, see your financial aid status, access Canvas and see all other important things.
  • First time logging in:
    Enter the username provided in the email from Insite, this should be the first letter of your name, full last name and last 3 digits of your student ID number, ex. Name is John Doe and ID # is 1234567 your username will be jdoe567
  • The first time default password should be your date of birth the format should be MMDDYY (last 2 digits) ex.Your DOB is November 10, 2021 your password should be 111021
  • Returning Student Login:
