A Star is Born (1937) Screening + Q&A with William Wellman Jr

The Contra Costa College Friends of the Library is proud to host a screening of the original 1937 classic A Star is Born.

Written and directed by William A. Wellman, it was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won for Best Original Story. It has been remade numerous times, most recently starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

The screening will be hosted by actor and producer William Wellman Jr., who will share stories and insights about his father and growing up in Hollywood. Autographed copies of his books and DVD will be available for purchase on site (cash & check only).
