Biology Instructor Ellen Coatney Named Teacher of the Year

CCC is proud to announce that, on September 22, 2022, Ellen Coatney was named Contra Costa County’s Community College Teacher of the Year!  

The award comes with a $1,000 grant, which Professor Coatney intends to put toward classroom supplies. 

“We are so proud of Professor Coatney,” said Dean of Natural, Social and Applied Sciences Rene Sporer. “And, lucky to have her. She’s an inspiration to students and colleagues alike.”
