Welcome Back, Comets!

We hope that your semester is off to an awesome start!

How’s your schedule looking?

The deadline to add full-term classes in person is Friday, September 2. Those are also the last days that you can withdraw without a W appearing on your transcript.

If you need to add a class that has already started, just attend a meeting and ask the instructor to authorize a late add. After they authorize it, you’ll get a notice on InSite. You can then add it from the searchable class schedule.

You can also still add eight- or twelve-week Fast Track classes that start later in the semester.

Want free tuition or help paying for college?

Did you know that 99% of CCC students graduate without taking out student loans? That’s in part because over 75% of our students qualify for free tuition and/or financial aid. So, it’s important to apply even if you think you probably won’t qualify.

If you’re a US citizen or permanent resident, just fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. They’ll let you know if qualify for free tuition or cash aid.

If you’re not a US citizen or permanent resident, just fill out the California Dream Act application.

And, don’t forget that first-time, full-time college students can qualify for free tuition regardless of income or documentation status under the 4CD Promise.

Driving to campus?

Be sure you have your permit! For the Fall 2022 semester, 4CD is pleased to announce that we are waiving the fees to obtain parking permits for students and visitors. Permits are still required to park on campus and must be obtained through your InSite portal or MyCampusPermit.com. Permits must be obtained and displayed in plain view, with all numbers and markings clearly visible; failure to do so may result in a citation.
