Find Financial Aid Confusing? We don’t blame you! What we can tell you is that by spending a little time learning about Financial Aid and other financial systems, you will learn to empower yourself along the way! We strongly encourage students to sign up for financial wellness counseling and learn about the different types of financial aid, grants, scholarships and self help funds available to students.

Contra Costa College Foundation

Offers scholarship opportunities and other student success support. Scholarship application window is every November to mid-February.

Zero Dollar Textbook Classes

At Contra Costa College, we recognize that the high costs of textbooks serve as a barrier that impacts student success. ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost) courses do not require students to buy textbooks. Courses designated as ZTC eliminate conventional textbook costs by using alternative instructional materials and methodologies, including Open Educational Resources (OER).

Transportation Support

Once a semester as supplies last, students in need may request either a

bus pass ($50)
gas card ($25)

From the basic needs office. Additional bus or gas cards may be available on a case-by-case basis, if seeking a second card have students see Basic Needs Coordinator in the Student Life office 112 SAB.
