What to Know About the WCCUSD Teachers Strike

Q: Is Contra Costa College open during the K–12 strike?
A: Yes. CCC remains fully open and operational.

Q: What about Middle College High School sessions?
A: High school sessions will continue, but your check-ins will probably be different. Check your email for a message from Principal Prak for the logistics.

Q: Will my CCC classes still happen during the strike?
A: Yes. If your classes take place at Contra Costa College, or are taught online by Contra Costa College instructors, they’ll continue as scheduled. And it’s very important that you attend because finals are almost here.

Q: What about the dual enrollment courses that are taught at Hercules, Kennedy and Richmond High Schools?
A: It depends on the course. If you haven’t already heard from your instructor, please reach out to them immediately for guidance. If you don’t hear back from them before Thursday, December 4, reach out to JBerner@contracosta.edu.

Q: My class is moving online. I’m not sure how to access it.
A: Here are some helpful tools to help you get started:

A: No, as long as you continue your CCC coursework.

Q: I’m a CCC employee who has children impacted by the strike. What should I do?
A: Please reach out to your manager about the situation, and keep the lines of communication open.
