Sara Marcellino is the Executive Foundation Director for the Contra Costa Community College District. She leads fundraising efforts on behalf of more than 48,000 students across Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College, and Los Medanos College.

Over her 25+ year career, Sara has raised more than $80 million in support of education, social justice, the environment, and professional organizations. She previously served as Executive Director of the Friends of Sausal Creek and Development Director at TransForm. Sara’s passion is matched by her expertise. Her unique background includes significant experience in fundraising, marketing, program management, financial management, communications, and outreach across topic areas.

Sara is on the Board of the Network of California Community College Foundations, serving as Treasurer. She holds an MA from San Francisco State University, a BA from Boston College, and certificates in fundraising.
