McKinley Williams has 35 years of experience in community college education. He has held positions as Professor of Psychology at Merritt College, District Director of Research, Planning and Development and Dean of Instruction at College of Alameda and Merritt College. He later served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and spent the last six years of his career as the President of Contra Costa College and established a reputation as one of the most progressive educators in the community college realm. In retirement, he has trained future managers in higher education and serves as a consultant for the accreditation process, educational leadership and secondary/community college partnerships. He was selected as a Fellow in the American Council on Education Leadership Training Program early in his career and holds an MA in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
