Jay Gill was born in Villa Teja, Dist. Gurdaspur Pb. India. He earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Pharmacy in Chandigarh, India. Jay immigrated to the United States in 1972, where he lived and worked in New Jersey before moving to Hayward, CA in 1978. Jay worked at various companies on the East and West coasts starting as a Pilot Plant Technician and advancing to Vice President of Research & Development and Manufacturing. 

Jay, along with his sons, founded Sun Deep Cosmetics in 1987, which became fully operational in 1989 when Jay became its full-time CEO. Jay grew the company from 1 to 100 employees and the facility from 2,500 sq. ft. to 81,000 sq. ft. during his tenure, retiring as CEO in 2025. As a philanthropist and active community member, Jay is a Trustee of Guru Grant Sahib Foundation, and he started a Sikh Center in Livermore. In retirement, Jay spends time managing his real estate investments and traveling, having visited about 30 countries, worldwide.
