2024-2025 FINANCIAL AID DISBURSEMENT POLICY AND CALENDAR

Pell Grant Policy: Disbursements are based on enrollment intensity and include units for classes starting within 10 days of the Award Calculation Date. Disbursements occur twice each fall and spring semester and once for summer (if eligible). Pell Grant is recalculated each primary semester based on enrollment intensity prior to these dates: October 21, 2024, for fall 2024, and March 24, 2025, for spring 2025. Students whose enrollment decreases on or before these dates may be subject to repayment of all or a portion of aid disbursed.

Cal Grant Policy: Disbursements are prorated based on enrollment at the time of disbursement for each primary semester. Cal Grant requires at least six units to qualify.

Other Awards: Disbursement is based on enrollment prior to the Award Calculation Date. FSEOG and Direct Loan require 6 or more units to qualify; Student Success Completion Grant requires 12 or more units.

Student Account Charges: Financial aid funds (excluding some scholarships) will be applied toward current student account charges. Remaining financial aid balances after charges have been paid, if any, will be refunded to the student according to the Disbursement Calendar below. Additional disbursements occur approximately every 3 weeks throughout the year for students not meeting the Award Notification Dates above. ² Students must receive an award notification email by this date to qualify for disbursement on the corresponding Disbursement Date. ³ Disbursement amount is based on units added before this date, and for classes starting within 10 days for Pell Grant, FSEOG, and Direct Loan disbursements prior to the 2^nd Pell Grant payment.

**Units for classes added on or after the Award Calculation Date for the 2^nd Pell Grant will not be considered in enrollment intensity for disbursements for that semester. First-time disbursements after this date will be based on enrollment at the time of disbursement.

Withdrawal: Students may be required to repay all or a portion of federal aid disbursed if they withdraw from all courses before 60% of the course length. For full semester courses, the 60% dates are: 

                             November 1, 2024, for fall 2024                  April 9, 2025, for spring 2025

Deadlines: The college must receive a valid, processed FAFSA/CADAA by the last day of the last semester that the student is enrolled for the academic year.
