Before you start, have this ready:

  • About 20 minutes
  • Email address
  • Mobile number for two-factor authentication
  • School information, including names and dates attended
  • Educational goal, such as certificate, degree, transfer, or career skills
  • Social Security Number, if you have one

Middle or high school students, international students, and veterans may have additional steps before applying.

After you apply, check your email for your student ID and login details.

Use this to access InSite, your student portal.

Apply for financial aid as soon as possible.

Many CCC students qualify for free tuition or other support, even if they are not enrolled full-time.

Complete the FAFSA if you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Complete the California Dream Act Application if you meet AB 540 requirements.

Complete online orientation to learn about CCC programs, services, and student resources. Orientation is required for new students and may help you receive an earlier registration date.

You must apply first and have your InSite login before starting orientation.

Placement helps you start in the right math, English, or ESL classes. Your placement may be based on previous coursework or other available options.

When your registration date arrives, enroll in classes through InSite or Student Planning. You can also use Schedule Builder to create a schedule that works for you.

After You Apply

Your application is usually processed within 24 hours. Once accepted, you’ll receive an email with your student ID, InSite login information, and next steps.

Check your email regularly so you do not miss important updates.
