La Raza Studies offers an interdisciplinary and empowering exploration of Chicanx and Latinx experiences across the Americas. Through courses in history, literature, and social justice, you’ll examine the cultural contributions, systemic challenges, and ongoing movements that shape these vibrant communities.

Our program encourages personal and academic growth while building skills in critical thinking, communication, leadership, and civic engagement. You’ll connect with heritage, develop a deeper understanding of identity and activism, and prepare for transfer or careers in education, advocacy, public service, law, media, and community work.

Whether you’re pursuing your roots or preparing to lead, La Raza Studies provides a foundation for meaningful change—on campus and beyond.

La Raza Studies is the academic exploration of Chicanx and Latinx peoples, cultures, and histories. It highlights resistance, resilience, and community power while promoting equity and social transformation through education.
