Whether you’re just beginning or looking to refine your skills, Contra Costa College’s ESL program is here to support your journey toward fluency, confidence, and opportunity.

We offer free non-credit ESL courses from Level 50 through Level 3, with flexible day and evening classes that fit your schedule. Our curriculum is research-based, interactive, and rigorous, designed to help you succeed both in and out of the classroom. As you progress, you can earn up to three certificates, and our advanced ESL courses are transferable to UC and CSU campuses.

You’ll also gain access to helpful resources, including digital tools through the CCC Library that strengthen grammar, pronunciation, and computer literacy. Plus, when you’re ready to practice independently or prepare for your next step, we’ll be here to guide you.

Our ESL faculty and assistants can help you with the application, assessment, and registration process—and find classes that match your level.
