Concurrent Enrollment
You’re In. Here’s What to Do Next
We’re excited to have you. After you complete your application and receive confirmation of admission, there are a few important steps to follow as a concurrent middle or high school student.
If you have questions at any point, our Welcome Center team is here to help.
Here are your next steps:
As a concurrent student, you’ll need to submit a Concurrent Enrollment (Special Admit) Form through InSite. This form is required each term you plan to take classes at Contra Costa College.
Here’s what you’ll need to complete it:
- The name and email of your school contact. If you’re not sure who can sign your form, ask your counselor or principal.
- Your parent or guardian’s name and email address.
- The course you want to take.
To be accepted, the form must:
- Be submitted every term you enroll.
- Include the course you wish to take. Forms without course information will not be accepted.
- Be signed by the student, a school principal or their designee, and a parent or guardian.
- Be approved by the CCC Admissions and Records Office.
Once your form is submitted and all signatures are verified, you’ll be cleared to register online if the class is open and you meet any prerequisites.
Note for Homeschool and International Students
Homeschool Students
If you’re homeschooled, choose “homeschool” when asked to select your high school on the form.
International Students
F-1 international students currently enrolled in a U.S. high school are not eligible to take classes at Contra Costa College while attending high school. If you would like to transfer from your high school to CCC, follow the steps to enroll for international students.
You must have a current application on file with Contra Costa College in order to register for classes. If you’ve taken courses at CCC, DVC, or LMC in the past but have not enrolled for one year or more, you’ll need to reapply for admission. Your student ID number will stay the same.
To view all the classes you’ve taken within the district, you can check your unofficial transcript in InSite. If you need an official transcript, you’ll need to request it from each college individually. Each school maintains its own official transcript.
A prerequisite is a course you must complete before registering for a more advanced or related class.
- Prerequisites cannot be waived.
- Check the class schedule or college catalog to see if your course has a prerequisite.
- If it DOES, you can complete the online placement(s) for math, English, and/or English as a Second Language (ESL) or request prerequisite clearance through InSite.
- Submit your request BEFORE registration begins, as review can take three to five business days.
Now that you have a plan, it’s time to take the next step. Log in to InSite to register for your first semester classes.
For step-by-step instructions, visit the Welcome Center or check out the registration resources on our website.

Fees
Great news! Concurrent Enrollment courses at Contra Costa College are free for California middle or high school students. You’ll need to just pay the student activity fee and any costs for class materials.
If you’re a high school student who isn’t a California resident, reach out to the Admissions and Records Office to learn more about nonresident enrollment fees. You may qualify for an SB150 waiver that covers nonresident tuition while you’re still in high school.
