Dr. Lee spent 44 years of her professional career in education. She began teaching preschool for the Oakland Unified School District after graduating from college in 1973. While at the OUSD she taught preschool and then administered programs at 3 Child Development Centers for 17 years before leaving to go to Contra Costa College. In 1989, Dr. Lee left Oakland to take a full-time  faculty teaching position that included supervising the campus Lab School for the Department of Early Childhood Education. Before retiring in 2017 she served as a Dean of Instruction for her last 10 years at CCC. Dr. Lee looks back at her entire teaching career and feels grateful and blessed to have chosen a career that she loved waking up to every day of her career.
