Vincent Shaw

Coach Vince Shaw began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Solano College from 1996 to 1998, where he was an significant part of the school’s first and only Men’s Basketball conference championship team. From there, Coach Shaw continued his coaching at Santa Rosa Junior College, where his team won multiple conference championships and took players to both the Division I and Division II levels. Through hard work and commitment, Coach Shaw was afforded the opportunity to join the Men’s staff at Sonoma State University, where his primary responsibilities were player development, opponent scouting and recruiting. Shaw’s coaching career came full circle upon his return to Solano College, where from 2001 to 2004 he served as Associate Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball program.

Coach Shaw next served as Head Coach at Napa Valley College, taking over a program that had won just nine games total in the three years prior. In his first three years, they won 41 games. During his tenure, the team set the record for most wins in one season and achieved Napa’s highest ranking to date.

Coach Shaw has earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State and a Master’s Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Saint Mary’s College of California.
