Janet Abelson

Janet Abelson has served on the El Cerrito City Council since 1999 and was the mayor for 2016-17. She is especially active in the areas of transportation, education, disability rights and the environment.  Mayor Abelson represents West County on the Contra Costa Transportation Authority. She is retired from the University of California at Berkeley where she worked as a computer systems analyst.
