Goals for 2022-2023 Academic Year
- College Culture and Community (SD 4; CCC Area 1)
1.1 Promote a culture of civility and respect in interactions with one another at the college.
1.2 Reaffirm commitment to participatory governance and use a team approach to rebuilding the college (when possible).
1.3 Unite the community around our common goal: serving students.
1.4 Communicate regularly with the community via print, email, social media, and website. - Student Learning and Completion (SD 1&2; CCC Areas 1, 2 & 3)
2.1 Promote robust programming and activities that support creativity, diversity, and enhance the educational environment.
2.2 Full implementation of Guided Pathways, combined with scheduling strategy.
2.3 Expand Strategic Enrollment Management Plan and scheduling strategy—scheduling to include pathways, account for IGETC areas, and reach the goal of having a two-year schedule.
2.4 Equity: reduce course success gaps & increase graduation rates for African American & Latinx students.
2.5 Build capacity in institutional research to improve data training, usability, and analysis.
2.6 Expand evening and weekend offerings to cater to working learners’ needs and schedules. - Partnerships and Community Relations (SD 3)
3.1 Equity: launch programs that promote equity, access, and opportunity (e.g., Rising Scholars Network).
3.2 Establish new partnerships and internships for CTE majors.
3.3 Connect with community-based organizations that hold similar shared missions and values. - Planning (SD 5; CCC Areas 1 & 2)
4.1 Maintain currency of institutional plans (especially Equity Plan) and full ACCJC accreditation.
4.2 Address the accreditation needs of individual programs.
4.3 Update facilities plan to maximize bond resources in alignment with college program needs.
4.4 Draft a technology plan that incorporates changing pedagogy & integrate with facilities plan.
4.5 General process improvements: onboarding– budgeting, HR; systematization of procedures across 4CD; and improvement of technological efficiencies.
4.6 Simplify college processes around grant writing/management, new position development.
4.7 Equity: expand professional dev & opportunities for managers & classified professionals. - Resource Stewardship (SD 5; CCC Area 1)
5.1 Draft a realistic, achievable goal to increase FTES.
5.2 Align expenditures to support productivity and efficiency goals.
5.3 Explore alternate sources of revenue through contract training, community education.
5.4 Incorporate CCC Foundation into strategic planning.
5.5 Equity: address employee retention to minimize attrition and increase diversity among management.
