Greetings, Class of 2021
Congratulations on your achievements over the past year. This has been a year like no other, and you deserve to celebrate and to be celebrated. Your accomplishments are made all the more worthy of being held up high given the remarkable set of circumstances under which you have accomplished your goals. The faculty and staff of Contra Costa College could not be more proud of you and all you have achieved.
The 2021 Graduation Will Take Place Online on Friday, May 21, at 6:00 P.M.
Due to ongoing limitations imposed by the need for Covid-19 precautions, we had to make the difficult decision to hold our formal graduation ceremony online. We know this is terribly disappointing, and we, too, are deeply disappointed. That said, the safety of our community is our top priority, and we have resolved to work harder than we ever have to celebrate you– our inspiring graduates. In lieu of an in-person gathering, please participate as fully as you are able in the events we have lined up all month long to celebrate our CLASS OF 2021!

Virtual Greetings: Submissions Accepted for the Pre-Show Through Vidhug from April 24 – midnight on May 14
Online, just before the grad ceremony, we will present a tribute to the grads of 2021 that includes virtual greetings from your family and friends! We are using an app called VidHug to collect these personal greetings. Share this link with your family and friends, who we invite to upload short messages of congratulations. Please share widely! We want all your friends, family, and supporters to celebrate your achievements. The deadline to submit content for this is midnight, May 14, 2021.
Personal Graduation Slide: Portal open ~May 3 – Midnight May 14th
As a CCC graduate, you will have a personal slide that will display your name, photo, honors, learning communities, all of your degrees and certificates, and a short quote. These will be presented one at a time during the ceremony to acknowledge your accomplishments. Slides will also be displayed on our college graduation web page for the year to come.
You will soon be receiving a link by both email and text that will take you to a portal where you will be able to upload your own graduation photo and quote. You will use that link to access & change your information and photo, or to opt-out of participating in commencement, as many times as you wish before the deadline of May 12, 2020 at midnight. No photo? No problem! Get a graduation portrait taken at the CCC campus on April 29 or 30.
