MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Transfer/Career Center (TCC) at Contra Costa College is to coordinate the college’s transfer efforts in order to increase the numbers of students prepared to transfer to four year institutions such as University of California, the California State University system, independent/private and out-of-state colleges and universities. In collaboration with counselors and staff from other transfer-related programs, extensive academic, career, and transfer services are provided. In addition, the TCC assists students with career exploration, career interest testing, workshops, as well as various other resources.

The TCC is a vital and important educational and career resource Center for students, faculty, staff and the community. It is designed to assist you in your career and transfer preparation to the college or university of your choice. The Center is essentially a link with the campuses of the University of California, the California State University system, and independent/private, and out of state colleges and universities. The TCC affords you the opportunity to map out your future.

Transfer Services:

  • An extensive resource library that includes current college catalogs from many colleges and universities throughout the United States.
  • Individual advising with representatives from four-year colleges and universities.
  • A video library that contains information on transferring, and the admissions requirements for various colleges and universities.
  • Financial aid and scholarship resources (including a scholarship database).

  • Counseling on transfer requirements, programs, and course selection.
  • Articulation agreements.
  • Guaranteed transfer admission agreements.
  • Campus tours to selected northern California four-year colleges and universities.
