THE AFRICAN AMERICAN PYRAMID PROGRAM

The PYRAMID program builds pre-collegiate Skills through cultural pride, and and is a class, AFRAM 098, designed to help students become more prepared for the rigor of college coursework and to strengthen their current academic capacity.

The PYRAMID program serves both CCC students and students attending local public high schools.  The PYRAMID program is supported by the African American Studies department and through connections with community partners.  There are guest speakers who come to the class and share their wisdom and resources. 

PYRAMID program students have access to on-going tutors in Math and English.  Many African American Pyramid program activities are structured to nurture the academic growth and development of African American males and under-represented students.
