Certificate of Achievement

Medical Assisting and Office Technician             38 Units

This is a two-year program leading to an Associate in Science degree and/or a Certificate of Achievement in Medical Assisting and Office Technician. Clinical work experience is provided in cooperating healthcare facilities. Courses are transferable as electives.

The Associate in Science degree may be earned by completing a minimum of 60 units of degree credit coursework, which includes the major requirements and general education requirements, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must complete all courses for the major with a grade of “C” or better. A Certificate of Achievement may be earned by completing all the courses required for this major with a grade of “C” or better.
