Biological Science                             20-21 Units

 

An Associate in Science degree may be earned by completing a minimum of 60 units of degree credit coursework, including the major requirements and breadth requirements, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must complete all courses for the major with a grade of “C” or better.

Biotechnology                                 28.5-29 Units

An Associate in Science degree may be earned by completing a minimum of 60 units of degree credit coursework, including the major requirements and breadth requirements, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must complete all courses for the major with a grade of “C” or better. The Biotechnology A.S. degree is appropriate for students wishing to obtain entry-levelemployment in the biotechnology industry while preparing to advance their career by transferring to a 4-year university.

The Biotechnology Technician Certificate of Achievement provides classroom and hands-on laboratory training needed for entry-level employment in the areas of manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, and research and development in the biotechnology industry.
