Thank you for your interest in a library orientation! Consider scheduling the Library Orientation for a time that fits well with your class research assignment, as the information from the session is best retained when students have the research assignment in mind. They can envision how the information being discussed will benefit their work. If you have not yet created your research assignment, consider making an appointment with a librarian to discuss.
Orientations occur during open hours (see Library website) and are between 80 to 110 minutes.
We will do our best to schedule at a time convenient to you within two weeks of your request. The Library is not able to accommodate last minute requests. To request a Library Orientation, please email Judy Flum (firstname.lastname@example.org) the following information:
- Your 1st and 2nd choices for date and time
- The class syllabus
- The class research assignment
- A brief summary of what you would like the librarian to cover. Note: due to class time contraints, it may not be possible to include all requested instruction. If you are not sure what you want covered, we can derive a curriculum based on the provided syllabus and assignment.
