Metasearch Engines

Metasearch engines use several individual search engines at one time to provide you with results. In other words, when you enter your search terms in a metasearch engine, it sends your search to other search engines and then compiles all of the results in one place for you.

While this may sound like a good deal, metasearch engines, at the moment, are not as good at finding information as the individual search engines are. One reason for this is that search engines often have techniques and tips for searching which are unique to them, and you're not able to use these tools when you search with a metasearch engine.

We recommend that you use individual search engines to get the best results when searching the Internet.
