Exhibitor information

The Gallery at CCC is in the Art Building, (Room A-5). It is 24 x 30 feet with 8-foot high exhibit walls, track lighting, and natural north light. There are 32" rectangular and 16" cube shaped sculpture pedestals available.

The Gallery is open from 10AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday. There is normal campus security but no gallery attendant. Neither the Art Department nor CCC shall be responsible for loss or damage.

Openings are held on days when a faculty member can be on-site. If you want campus attendance a best time for scheduling a reception is during an overlap of classes during the week. Exhibitors may choose another time, but must let the college police know in advance, so that they can arrange for free parking in Lot 4.

Many exhibitors prefer to design their own. Exhibitors to provide photo/graphic, show title, show and reception dates, etc. (a campus map is available for use in flyers/mailers). The Art Department will post flyers at CCC. A mailing list of local high schools, community centers, and libraries is available in label format. We can publicize your event if we are given materials in an electronic format, for inclusion in the Eddie Rhodes Gallery Web page and a campus wide e-mail announcement/invitation to your show.

Exhibitors are responsible for prepping the walls and sculpture stands. Art Department will provide materials and some hand tools are available. Please contact staff for any other needed hardware and materials (within our means). Labeling, pricing and/or numbering the work are the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Exhibitors are to provide food and beverages for guests at receptions. Art Department has some tables, serving trays, and a coffee maker. A refrigerator and microwave are available in the gallery area, as well as sinks and work counters. Tablecloth, napkins, eating implements, beverage glasses/cups to be provided by exhibitors. Exhibitor is responsible for clean up after the reception.

All proposals and artwork for the gallery are reviewed by the Contra Costa College Art Department and are shown subject to its discretion.
