|
Purpose of Meeting:
| |
Continue examining each of the proposed courses of the HPC Program at CCC. Attached to this is a summary of changes, additions, and deletions discussed and proposed by members of the Advisory Board.
|
| |
|
New HPC Course Sequence for the Admin portion of the curriculum:
| |
- A++ HARDWARE
- HPC Intro
- Intro to LINUX
- LAN Network Design
- Router Config
- HPC Practicum
- HPC Sys Admin
- HPC Net Admin
- HPC Security Admin
- HPC Internship
- HPC Capstone
Adv Router will be eliminated and everything will be covered in LAN Network Design and Router Config courses. See attached summary for other changes.
Question raised about the courses in general: To what extent will the courses be HPC-specific? Or, will the individual topics for each course be discussed in broad enough detail as to apply to non-HPC Cluster environment? The desire is to have the courses starting with "HPC" predominantly covering HPC related topics. The other courses should be free of HPC specifics so they could be more generally available.

|
Four Main Program Pathways:
| |
- HPC System Administration
- HPC Network Administration
- HPC Security Administration
- HPC Programming Assistant
