Contra Costa College has numerous pre-collegiate programs offered throughout the year. They are designed to help students become aware of their academic potential and prepare them for success in college.

There are summer programs such as College for Kids, the summer swimming program, or Bridges to the Future.   The college is the home of WCCUSD’s Middle College High School, where some 320 students attend high school and college at the same time.

Some pre-collegiate programs are designed to reach under-prepared high school classyouth with support and inspiration to become strong students and enter college, i.e. METAS, and Gateway to College.

Other pre-collegiate programs are grant funded and designed to develop students’ educational background in a specific academic area such as NACME does for engineering or Tech Prep does for career interests.
