Steps to Success • Summer 2014

Step 1 –Submit an Application for Admission To complete your application online click here.

Step 2 Apply for Financial Aid

If you need help paying for school you have several options. You may be eligible for a fee waiver or other state and federal money to help you pay for your classes, books and supplies. To apply go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and follow the instructions to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You can also just submit an application for a fee waiver at https://secure.cccapply.org/BOG_Waiver. You will be notified via your college email (@insight.4cd.edu) if you qualify for the fee waiver.

Step 3 – Complete the Assessment We encourage all new students to take a math and English or English as a Second Language (ESL) assessment. This will help ensure you are choosing the best classes for you. Register online for an appointment to take the assessment at http://contracosta.edu/go/?assessment-appointment. If you need a refresher, take a look at the practice questions posted online at www.contracosta.edu, click on student services and choose assessment.
