FLEX Obligations

FLEX Obligations

Adjunct Faculty:  The Flex obligation of adjunct faculty (C-contract) is based on a combination of the number of paid hours per week during the semester, the day of the week assigned classes are held, and the academic calendar and its scheduled holidays. Adjunct faculty must complete any required flex hours during the semester for which they are currently employed.

FALL 2014:  Instructors teaching C-contract hours on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday will have a variable Flex obligation equal to the hours they teach on those days. This Flex obligation must be completed during the Fall term.

SPRING 2015:  Instructors teaching C-contract hours on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday will have a variable Flex obligation equal to the hours they teach on those days. This Flex obligation must be completed during the Spring term.

Full-Time Faculty (tenured):  The contractually agreed upon number of Flex days is 6, or 30 hours (based on a day equal to 5 hours).
