Financial Aid Awareness Day
On August 26, the Contra Costa College Office of Financial Assistance held its first of two Financial Aid Awareness Days for the 2015-2016 academic year. The event ran from 11:00am to 2:00pm in the Student Services Center Plaza.
The financial aid staff hosted food, games, music, and prize giveaways for all students who participated in the event. Resource tables were available for students to get information from various campus areas, such as Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS), Welcome Center, Counseling, Speech Department, Fine & Media Arts, Tutoring, and ESL.
Several prize giveaways were raffled off, including a $50 gas card from Chevron, a $50 grocery card from Safeway, and a Go-Pro camera! Everyone had a great time and learned more about the services and financial assistance that is available to them at Contra Costa College.
Our second Financial Aid Awareness Day of the year will happen in February. Details will be announced via social media. Follow the Contra Costa College Office of Financial Assistance on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
