COUNS 080- Learning Disability Assessment

This program provides psychometric evaluation for students with learning difficulties.
COUNS 085- Adaptive Computer Technology
.1-3 units: .3- 9 hours laboratory, CR/NC, ND
This course trains students with disabilities to use specialized computer hardware and software to compensate for their specific impairments in mobility, vision or hearing, enabling equal access to college courses. Computer adaptations used will depend on individual needs diagnosed by the high tech specialist. These adaptations will be used together with computer software from the regular college program.
COUNS 086- Adaptive Writing with Computers
2 units: 2 hours lecture, CR/NC, ND
This course trains students with disabilities to use a personalized technology-assisted writing strategy, combining specialized computer hardware and software to overcome the difficulties they are experiencing with writing.
ENGL 081- Strategies in Reading- I
3 units: 3 hours lecture, SC, DG
This course provides individual and small group instruction for students who have been diagnosed as learning disabled in reading and visual perceptual skills.
ENGL 082- Strategies in Reading- II
3 units: 3 hours lecture, SC, DG
This course provides instruction for students who have been diagnosed as learning disabled in reading comprehension and auditory perceptual skills.
ENGL 083- Strategies in Spelling
3 units: 3 hours lecture, SC, DG
This course presents spelling instruction for students who have been diagnosed as learning disabled in spelling and who have other visual and auditory problems.
ENGL 084- Strategies in Writing
3 units: 3 hours lecture, SC, DG
This course provides instruction for students who have been diagnosed as learning disabled in written language.
MATH 080- Strategies in Mathematics
3 units: 0.3 hours lecture, CR/NC, ND
This course provides individualized instruction for students having a learning disability in mathematics.
