ITAL 100- Topics in Italian

.5-4 units: lecture and/or laboratory hours, SC, DG

This is a supplemental course in Italian language arts designed to provide a study of various topics, to be announced each term in the current course schedule. This course may be repeated three times.

ITAL 120A- B- First-Semester Italian

3 units each: 3 hours lecture, SC, DG

This is a first-semester Italian course whose content extends over two terms. The goals are to communicate in Italian through the development of skills in speaking, understanding, reading and writing, and to develop an appreciation of the Italian culture.

ITAL 298- Independent Study

.2-4 units: SC, DG

Prerequisite: educational contract of study signed by an instructor, department chair and college dean. Topics must extend beyond regular course offerings.

This course is designed for selected students to pursue independent study in Italian under the direction of an instructor.
