My clinical experiences include caring for the surgical patient in a variety of clinical settings including orthopedics and general postoperative care units. I had the great good fortune to work as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner in a community setting in San Francisco for 15 years. Our seniors have much to teach us about life and students can learn many lessons from them. I enjoy teaching our students about the older patient and how we can care for them in sensitive and useful ways.
