Continue your journey with us!
Pursuing your academic and career goals takes a lot of time and commitment and making choices about who to trust with your education is important. Based on your recent experience at one of the Corinthian Colleges, including Heald, Wyotech, or Everest, we know that trust has been broken. As a public community college, Contra Costa College has a history of over 65 years of outstanding instruction and hands-on support services. Our classes are affordable and the variety of courses, certificates and degrees means you have lots of options to explore. Our graduates successfully transfer to four-year colleges and universities and start meaningful careers in many different fields including medical assisting, emergency medical services, certified nursing assistants, criminal justice, business, automotive services, culinary arts and many more.
Whether you come to Contra Costa College or choose to attend another institution, we want to provide as much information and support as you consider your options. As members of the Contra Costa County community, we are committed to helping your continue your path and achieve your academic and career goals.
As a former student of a college which has been closed, you have two options:
- Continue to be responsible for your student loans and transfer your credits to another college; or,
- Obtain a student loan discharge for the money you previously borrowed and pursue a new degree or certificate program. If you discharge your loans you cannot transfer any of your credits.
Note: For former Wyotech students, since your college was not accredited, courses you took at the institution will likely not be transferrable for any college credit.
Contra Costa College is committed to helping you with either one of these options. We recommend that you meet with one of our counselors and attend one of our upcoming information sessions, where we will share details about our programs and services and evaluate your transcripts.
