INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Contra Costa College welcomes international students. The presence of international students on our campus and in our community increases our understanding and respect for the many cultures of the world.
REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION
If you are an international student, you must file application papers and related documents with the International Education Office located in the AA Building Room 105 or call (510)235-7800 extension 4469 by May 1 for the summer session, June 1 for fall term, and November 1 for the spring term.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
1.
An application fee will be assessed at the time of acceptance by the International Education Office.
2.
Submit a completed International Student Application. (If you are currently a student at another U.S. college, you must submit written verification from that college indicating that you are in-status and a full-time student in good health.)

Your Financial Certification
4.
Your Health Statement
5.
Your completed signed F-1 Student Conditions Agreement
6.
Your official transcripts of high school and college work completed
7.
Your official TOEFL Score report, if available.
8.
Your written essay explaining your background and future academic and career goals.
The I-20 form (international student visa), along with a letter of acceptance will be issued when all the paperwork is completed.
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
International students (F-1 visa) are required to enroll in and complete a minimum of 12 units each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
FEES
International student tuition for 2004/05 is $147 per unit, plus $26 per unit, facility use fee $10 per unit totally $183 per unit. Tuition fees are payable at the time of enrollment.
Financial Requirements: The estimated costs for the 2002/03 academic year are as follows:
- $4,392 - Tuition and enrollment fees (based on 12 units per term)
- $12,000- Room and board
- $200- Health Insurance
- $800- Books and other educational expenses
- $1,700- Transportation and personal expenses
- TOTAL $19,092
