Welcome to the Admissions & Records Office Home Page

Our mission is to serve students in the spirit of the philosophy of Contra Costa College and to uphold the various state and federal laws, which govern admissions and records. The interest of each student will be given full and serious attention to keep the goals of the college and the student united. Efforts will be made to make sure that students do not become subordinate to the college


Effective Spring 2007 semester, the enrollment fee has changed from $26.00 per unit to $20.00 per unit.

Regular Office Hours:

Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

During the peak enrollment periods:

Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. &

Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m.

Peak enrollment periods: Two weeks before the term begins and the late registration period.

 


CALIFORNIA RESIDENCE STATUS

A residence classification is made for you at the time your application is accepted, and whenever you have not been in attendance during the previous semester. The residence determination date is the day before the first day of instruction for the semester or intersession for which are enrolled. You are considered a California "resident" if you have resided in the state for more than one year immediately preceding the residence determination date.

 

NON-RESIDENT STATUS

You are a "nonresident" if you have not been a resident in the state for more than one year immediately preceding the residence determination date. For more information, see "Cost, fees, and Refund" section.

 

You are eligible for admission to CCC if you are:

  • A high school graduate
  • 18 years old or older
  • A secondary school student in grades K-12 and recommended in writing by your principal
  • An indentured apprentice
  • Under 18 years of age but have passed the General Educational Development Test (GED)
