PACE is a program at Contra Costa College designed especially for working adults who may have postponed getting an Associate’s degree and/or a Bachelor’s degree because of family or job responsibilities. Through this program, students who don’t have time to attend daily classes are able to enroll in college as fulltime degree students.

The program is pre-planned for completion of 64.5 units in five semesters and two summers. It allows you to earn an Associate of Arts degree in two and one-half to three years, with a Liberal Studies major that is transferable to any university in the California State University system.
A transferable Liberal Studies AA degree allows you to finish your college freshman and sophomore years at Contra Costa College with all of the required lower division courses for a Bachelor of Arts degree. When you transfer to a four-year university, you transfer as a junior and focus primarily on your chosen major. If you have already taken some of the courses in the program at CCC or at other colleges, you are that much closer to earning your degree!

PACE offers day-long weekend seminars, TV courses, and evening classes. See below for a complete program overview.
