Award Program (TAAP) awarded
to students with significant financial need who have demonstrated a commitment
to community service and outreach and will attend UC Berkeley.
AASA Scholarship is awarded to a student with a GPA of 3.0 or
better who has taken African American Studies courses and is recommended by
faculty and community members.

Book Grants are awarded
to students with 2.0 GPA.
Alpha Gamma Sigma awards two scholarships, one to a student
who will transfer to a 4-year institution in the fall and one for a student who
will continue their studies at CCC.

B. Wayne Daniels is awarded to a student who has completed a
major in African American Studies or has completed at least six courses in
AFRAM.
Barbera Olesen is awarded to a woman who has been out of
school for at least a year, is a U.S. citizen, has a GPA of at least 3.0, and
is striving to transfer. Must be a
full-time student.
Bert Coffey is awarded t o a student with a mini-mum
3.0 GPA in a liberal arts discipline who has a record of community service and
an interest in future public service.
Brandon Schnurr is awarded to a student with at least a 3.0
GPA who exemplifies leadership skills and will continue at CCC.
Carl Vincent Ansberry Jr. is
awarded to a liberal arts student who is transferring to a 4-year institution
and has a 2.5 GPA.
Connie Hernandez is awarded to a student of Hispanic
ancestry who maintains at least a 2.75 GPA and is involved in campus or
community activities.
Dean Lesher
is awarded to students
with 3.0 GPA and who demonstrate the potential to succeed at one of the CSU
campuses.
Department Awards are made by several CCC departments –
including ESL, Automotive (East Bay CAA, Molica,
Wood), Math (Hancock), Nursing (Kaiser, Doctors Medical Center, Stillwell,
Parker CNA), BOT/CIS (Henderson), DSPS, EOPS – award their own
scholarships. Check with the departments for details.

Donald Seeman
is awarded to a
pre-nursing student with at least a 3.0 GPA who is taking prerequisites towards
admission to a nursing program.
Eagle Bugg
is awarded to an
African American or African student who is majoring in business and transferring
in the fall.
Foundation General,
Departmental, First Year and Early Start awards are awarded in four categories: overall academic
excellence, achievement in a specific department, high school seniors coming to
CCC in the fall, and high school students who graduate in December and come to
CCC in the spring.
Fred Tarp is awarded to a student in
Biological Sciences who has a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0. Applicants must have completed at least
two bio-science lab courses.
Gan Dental Assisting is awarded to a student
who has completed at least 50% of the Dental Assisting Program and is
continuing in the fall. Applicants must be residents of West Contra Costa
County and have at least a 2.0 GPA.
Granzella Re-Entry Mom is awarded to a student
enrolled at CCC several years after high school who has at least a 3.0. Preference to those planning careers in business.
Granzella Scholars are graduating high school
seniors enrolling at CCC next fall with at least a 3.0 GPA and notable
community service.
John & Jean Knox Book
Grants
support students who often are not eligible for other kinds of financial
assistance.
Keith Buescher is awarded to a business
or economics major with a 3.0 GPA and transferring to a 4-year in the fall.
Kellogg Opportunity is for a student who has a
ÒstreetÓ life and is now dedicated to making a change by way of
education at CCC.
Kennedy King is awarded to African
American, Latino, Native American, or Pacific Island students from CCC, DVC and
LMC. Applicants must be currently enrolled here and transfer as a junior in the
fall or spring.

Martin Padilla Memorial Scholarship
Mary Ellen Bales/AAUW goes to a female CSE student with a 3.5 GPA
who transfers in fall.
Pina Barbieri
Teacher Recruitment goes to a 3.0 GPA student who will transfer to go into the
education field.
Robert T. Fredericks is awarded to MCHS seniors
who were involved in the American Social History Project and intend to major in
social sciences once in college.
Steve Schaeffer goes to a Business major transferring to UC or CSU
next year.
William ÒBillÓ Worley is for a transfer student with a 3.25 GPA.
