Steps for Students

An articulating student shall:

1. Complete College Tech Prep Application.

2. Achieve a grade of B (3.0) or better in the
Articulated High School Classes.

3. Meet the specifically agreed upon competencies or conditions stated in the agreement for each class for which Tech Prep credit is being petitioned, including passing credit by examination requirements where applicable.

4. Mail the completed CCC Tech Prep Program Articulation Completion Form to the CCC Tech Prep Office.

5. Enroll in College Courses following standard enrollment procedure.

6. The CCC Tech Prep Program Articulation Completion Form must be used within 2 years of High School graduation or attainment of GED.

Tech Prep credits will:

  • Appear on the college transcript after the student’s successful (minimum 2.0 GPA) completion of a full semester (12 credits on campus).

  • Apply toward completion of the designated program at Contra Costa College.

  • The credits will not be calculated in determining grade point average.

  • Student may need to pay the per credit cost for credits earned by examination.
