Certified Nursing Assistant - Home Health Aide (CNA-HHA)

Contra Costa College’s Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program is designed to train the individual to function as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Home Health Aide (HHA). This individual will work as part of a health team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a health care agency or hospital.

The CNA-HHA will provide basic nursing services, including personal hygiene, feeding, helping patients to walk and dress, and taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse and respiration). The Home Health Aide may focus more on helping patients with activities of daily living in the home, such as laundry and preparing meals.
