Academic Requirements -
Certificate of Achievement
The CNA-HHA Program is a 6 month program that leads to a Certificate of Achievement from Contra Costa College.
Successful completion of the program will qualify the individual to take the California state certification examination.
PREREQUISITES
1. College Assessment Test Requirements:
o Minimum score of 16 on college Reading & Writing Assessment tests, OR
o Completion of, or enrollment in ENGL 92, OR
o ESL students: ESL placement at level three or completion of ESL 146, OR
o DSPS students: ENGL 81, 82, or 83
2. Clear LiveScan results (See Criminal Background Check information.)
3. Completion of MEDIC 109 CPR for the Healthcare Provider (0.2 units) or
equivalent. (American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider
certification may also be obtained through a private agency.)
