- To provide our Graduates with career opportunities after
completing their education
- To provide students with part-time employment related to their
major while attending college
- To provide a FREE job listing and applicant referral service
to employers in both the public & private sectors
- To increase community awareness of Contra Costa College as a
valuable resource
The unique nature of the community college means that Contra Costa
College serves a diverse student population that includes a potential
job applicant pool from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds,
many of whom are bilingual, as well veterans, disabled, and
Welfare-to-Work students. This gives employers a wealth of potential
employees from which to choose. Additionally, we are partners in the
EASTBAY Works One-stop.
There are students of all ages, from recent high school
graduates to older adults who have a wide range of experiences, as
well as those who have been homemakers and are now entering the job
market for the first time. The college is able to provide students
who have specialized training required in news fields; we also
provide courses and workshops to help your current employees upgrade
their skills to meet the demands of an ever-changing work
environment.
