Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

After you have received your Student Aid Forms from the U.S. Department of Education you must do the following:

1. Read All Information On Part 1 Of (SAR) Student Aid Report and complete any of the instruction given.

2. Correct or verify All Questions asked by the Department of Education.


3. Documents required could include the following:

Alien Registration Card,
Previous Tax return paper if file,

Untaxed Income Certification Form,

#Verification Worksheet (If needed)
Educational Plan (Done by the Counseling Office. Required from all students if a current Ed Plan is not on file in the Financial Aid Office)

# IF YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR VERIFICATION BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, you will need to bring in additional information.

 

How will you know if you have been selected.It will require you to review your Student Aid Report (Part 2).In the upper right hand corner of the report next to the letters EFC will be an Asterisk (*) for those who have been selected, if there is NO asterisk you need NOT submit any additional information.

 

IMPORTANT:

If You Do Not Have A High School Diploma Or GED, You must take the Ability To Benefit Test offered by the counseling Department.
