Early Childhood Development Students and Volunteers
Contra Costa College Early Learning Center is an Early Childhood Laboratory School that allows ECHD students to observe the daily activities of children, participate in the classroom curriculum, and the learning environment. Volunteers range from Middle College High School Students, Nursing Students, and students from local Regional Occupation Programs (ROP). Experience gained while working at the lab school aids in both personal as well as professional growth.

Please note: Children are never left alone with a student or volunteer. Individuals who have ongoing contact with the children are required to get a TB/PPD clearance before they start.
