The Early Learning Center is in operation in the fall semester, spring semester, and six weeks during the summer session. It is our goal to accommodate families in need of childcare by offering several options for children to attend the Early Learning Center.

Preschool Instruction
Children ages 2 years and 9 months (and fully potty trained) to kindergarten entry are eligible to attend the lab school. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:30pm.

Extended Care
Children ages 5 - 7 years are eligible to attend the lab school during it's extended care hours of 3:30 - 5:30, Monday through Friday.

Evening Care Program
The Evening Care Program is designed for children ages 3 - 10 years of age. This program operates Monday through Thursday from 5:00 - 10:00pm.

Drop-in Care
Childcare services are offered on a drop-in basis to families who currently have a child enrolled in the program. A request may be made in writing to the Site Supervisor, at least 24 hours in advance. Request are granted pending space availability.

 

Program Ratios

The ratio of staff to children is typically 1:6 for preschoolers due to the added presence of students teachers and parent volunteers. The maximum capacity is 24 children in each class.
